Belum Rainforest Summit (BRainS) is back for its second edition from 18-21 September 2018 and will be hosted at the same venue in the Belum Rainforest Resort, Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak, Malaysia.
Building on the success of the 2016 edition, the Summit is expected to welcome over 100 attendees representing government officials, research scientists, conservationists, NGOs, community leaders and policy makers. A dynamic mix of discussion panels, insight presentations and enhanced networking opportunities will build knowledge and foster collaboration on how best to conserve our tropical rainforest biodiversity with special reference to the Belum-Temengor Rainforest Complex (BTRC) in Perak, Malaysia.
BRainS 2018 is also organized in conjunction with 10th year anniversary of PBF. The Summit in collaboration with the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) and World Wide Fund for Nature – Malaysia (WWF – Malaysia) is a platform for another important event related to the core activity of PBF which is on conservation and sustainable use of the tropical rainforest. This is in part a follow-up of the attractive and successful event held in October 2016 called BRainS 2016 at the Belum Rainforest Resort.
